Due to the redundant nature of our anycast infrastructure, DNSFilter services including DNS layer security, content filtering and resolution are always available. In the event of regional downtime, DNSFilter automatically switches to the nearest data center with no manual intervention. By design, our core services will not be disrupted by planned or unplanned outages.
As such, via our status page, DNSFilter strives to provide complete transparency for the current and past status of our service.

We will be performing a scheduled maintenance of our Webshrinker API on May 2, 2026.
Please expect a potential service interruption of up to five minutes. While we anticipate the actual downtime to be significantly shorter, API requests may intermittently fail during this window.
This update does not affect Webshrinker Offline DB (OCDB) services.

DNSFilter API Scheduled Maintenance May 16, 2026 03:00-03:30 EDT
Dear Valued Customers,
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our services, we will be performing an important infrastructure upgrade. This upgrade involves transitioning our database technology to enhance the performance and reliability of our systems.
What You Need to Know:
Date and Time of Upgrade:
Start: May 16, 2026, at 08:00 UTC
End: May 16, 2026, at 08:30 UTC
Estimated Downtime:
The DNSFilter Dashboard and APIs will be unavailable for about 30 minutes.
ALL operations performed through the Dashboard and APIs will not be accessible, including reporting and management.
Existing filtering policies will remain active during maintenance.
Why is This Upgrade Necessary?
This is the initial phase of a multi-step enhancement aimed at achieving robust high availability and eliminating scenarios necessitating downtime. Although there will be temporary access limitations, our filtering capabilities will continue uninterrupted based on existing policies.
